I just got the role of Kate in Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew and I am getting nervous about the stage kisses. I have never kissed anyone on or off the stage so this is very nerve rackingfor me. We are performing the wedding scene where he has to kiss me really obnoxiouly and then I need to kiss him twice at the end. I'm in eighth grade and the guy who got Petruchio is someone I have liked for many years. All of my friends are giving me a hard time that I get to kiss my crush but I don't know how I should do it. I don't want to look stupid on the stage not knowing what to do so I need some advice!

its easy!! if the guy is wearing a hat, make sure that he dips you low enough to where the hat can cover your face too...if your not that afraid, just kiss 'em and kiss 'em good

You're an actor. If the script says to kiss, you kiss. Half the fun of a stage kiss is just the basic idea that it's all for fun with no attatchments whatsoever.

I had to stage kiss a guy a lot of times in Guys and Dolls, and the really hard part was that we were practically standing in the audience for two of them. If you're really far away from the audience and you're kissing him, grab his face and kiss your hand. If you're closer to the audience, you have to get pretty convincing. you start with the cheek thing, but you have to bring your lips closer together. You might end up kinda kissing, but you should enjoy it if you like him I know I did
