Re: What character sings what in The Tower of Babbel? I believe that for this song various well-known philosophers are played by those playing the parts of the disciples and Jesus, as none of these characters appear until after the song. From the one or two videos I've seen, each person singing a part which reflects a worldview has a sign (in one version) with the name of the great mind or philosopher represented by the lyrics.
