*Every time you see the names: Robin, Gilmer, Sonia, Joanne, Jeff, Merrell, Lamar, Herb, or Jerry, the characters in Godspell are the first things that come to mind
*When you see someone wearing Keds, you have the sudden impulse to say "It say Keds"
*You now have a favorite superhero: Superman
*Suddenly a junkyard doesn't seem like such a bad place to hang out

I've had 2 "Godspell moments" this last week:
1. Opened up the Australian Baptist Hymn Book (there was a box of chocolate sitting on top, so while I was eating, I was reading ) and the first page I opened to was "When wilt thou save the people, O Lord of Mercy when..." (Different tune, of course!)
2. At church on Sunday I had to sing "Prepare Ye". We (the piano player and drummer) had not practiced it at all and it went reasonably well until the last note when my voice failed. It still has fully recovered from having my tonsilis out about a month and a half ago. The piano player cracked up laughing at it Incidently, the piano player played Jesus in the production of Godspell I was in!

 Godspell Lover
Oh man, I saw godspell at The artists studio and I went out and bought the soundtrack like a day later and was obsessed at that point lol. not only that I was in love with the guy who sang "We Beseech Thee" Trevor..he is a good friend and my camp counciler lol. I loved it though, it was hilarious, and I loved the songs

When you get to sing three Godspell songs at a concert with a large proportion of your original cast.
The theatre group I did Godspell with turned 25 this year so put on a concert with songs from the various shows they've done over the years. So I got to sing 3 songs from Godspell again - "Prepare Ye" (I sang the solo part), "God Save the People" and "Day by Day".
It was the best feeling singing those songs again with the old cast.

haha i too force godspell songs upon our catholic school masses. i'm actually going to the director of them on monday and telling him that the next mass is going to be completely godspell cause our show is this month and there's nothing he can really do about it haha
-when you sit in a your room at 1:30 in the morning, like i am now, and all you can think about is how the "darkness is doubly dark!"
-when you bounce your friends on the head a la gilmer and jesus in the movie
-when you're playing gilmer and know that in your production you can't have a puppet but carry one around anyway
-you've photocopied your face.
-"keep the corners of your mouth turned up...etc." is the motto of your life

When act like the character you played 2 years after the production and still sing your characters song as if you are still in the show.
When you wear your costume to school on Super Hero Day (Yes, It happened)

When at your cast party, the cast reeancts the Prologue just for fun and puts it on YouTube. Luckily we're smart enough not to tag it, as we end up in about 100 different keys throughout it.
