 Jerry Bock Dies The composer of this wonderful musical (and one other that I can't remember the name of) has died in the past week.

Re: Jerry Bock Dies He died November 3 at 81. The other musical was Fiorello!, about former New York City Mayor Fiorello La Guardia.
On the same subject Joseph Stein, who wrote the book for Fiddler, died October 24 at 98. That leaves lyricist Sheldon Harnick as the last surviving author of Fiddler; he's still alive and presumably well at 86.

Re: Jerry Bock Dies He also wrote The Apple Tree. That starred Barbra Harris and Alan Alda. It was revived in the Encore series.
