Hey guys,
So, my school (college) is doing Company in the fall. I'm not familiar with the show at all, but what I do know of it sounds like a lot of fun. Most of you guys know me, but since I've been away for a while here's my profile for those who don't:

I'm a soprano primarily (top note E or F6), but I can do mezzo stuff down to maybe a G or A3. I'm 20, tall (about 5'8" or 5'9") and pretty thin. My most recent lead in a musical was Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, but I've done roles like Reverend Brown in Inherit the Wind (so, basically the opposite of ingenue) pretty well too.

I'll post a picture below, but basically my question is - where should I start in terms of roles I should look at/songs I should look at for auditions?

I'd look at April or Jenny.

Then for a bit of fun, Marta. You look like you'd make a great Marta but then she's a lower Mezzo voice. The comic stuff is great for her though

Edit: Definitely audition for Marta. April and Jenny are a bit more safe.

Ditto to what Laura said, but I also think you'd make a great Kathy (unless your production does Tick Tock, then you would need to be a dancer).

I can't remember who sings the high soprano part in Getting Married Today (I think it's Jenny, but in the revival with Raul Esparza it was Susan). You could totally own that!

I think you totally look like a Marta. She's sassy and modern and a city girl and such. She sings "Another Hundred People," a great song. Check out the song and if you can handle it (which I'm pretty sure you can) definitely go for Marta.

And yeah, the soprano in "Getting Married to Day" is usually done by Jenny, but it was Susan in the revival. I do know that some productions even use Sarah.

Jenny is fun. She's considered kind of lame and um, boring, I guess, but she gets high and swears a lot, which I think would be very funny to see you do, Ana! And you could totally pull it off.

In my opinion, the many of the roles kind of depend on the what the director wants. The characters are very real so they could basically be anybody.
