Which scene struck you the most in Cabaret?

 Which scene struck you the most in Cabaret? I watched it for the first time last week and had goosebumps/tears in my eyes when the very ayrian, very young Nazi sung tomorrow belongs to me country fair kind of thing, very harrowing.
Which song did you find the most powerful and why?

Re: Which scene struck you the most in Cabaret? I saw it for the first time at a regional theater at the shore. It was gorgeous.
Got serious chills at the finale... This production had all the main characters on stage, lit as silhouettes, saying their most poignant/ironic lines about the beginning of the Holocaust. The Emcee then takes off his train conductor costume, is wearing concentration camp clothing, and is closed into a 'gas chamber'. Insane.

Re: Which scene struck you the most in Cabaret? I saw the UK touring cast last year and the finale scene was chilling. They had these massive letters spelling out CABARET and the Emcee pushed each one down with an almighty crash. Then him and all the dancers took their clothes off and walked upstage, into what I think was supposed to be, a gas chamber. Haunting stuff.
