I am really glad you enjoyed it. Maybe it's just me or my dysfunctional childhood or just the sadness of the stories (the gay men admitting their homosexuality, Sheila's mother cheating and her father being a Jerk, Maggie's father walking out of her life). I could relate to some of them and went thru an awful lot of tissues during that play. Of course, I cry at the beginning of Evita during her funeral, and again at the end when she dies, I cry at JCS when he's getting 40 lashes and also when they sing "Could We Start Again Please and Gesthemane" and during certain potions of Phantom. I know ACL isn't ALW but like all ALW plays, it makes me cry as well as laugh (Like the line from Evita where she indignantly says "Did you hear that? They called me a whore! They actually called me a whore!!!!!" To which a man replies "But Senora Peron, it's an easy mistake. I'm still called an admiral, yet I gave up the sea long ago."
