there is one. READ! sorry if that was kind of rude...but that is wayy off subject and the forum is pretty obvious (simply sondhiem i believe).
and Maggie, is not belty at all..more mixy or classic mezzo. she def sings an E but potentially higher and she does the soprano part in one. gosh I would love to play maggie!!!

do the girls in A Chorus Line have to be ballerinas..or just good classical technique but more broadway/jazz style dance?

That deffinately was off topic, but it's under the Sondheim Board.
And Maggie's high notes should deffinately be solid. That high E in ATB shouldn't be weak in my opinion, since it's such a....(I'm lost for words) crescendo....'ed part in the song.
 That totally just took away all the credibility in this post.

I'm auditioning for Maggie/Cassie today. Since I'm only 18 and it's an adult compant I have a much better chance at maggie. Wish me luck

MY BBF got it which is nice and they told me I was too young for Cassie  A Chorus Line will come around plenty of times thought it's a classic. oh and my friend is a mezzo, very belty so I think that is the direction people go in more often than not
