Current Obsession: CATS the Musical!

 Everyone knows now: CATS Troika Tour to Close CATS is closing the Troika Tour this coming June 17th in Grand Rapids, MI. That's unless it gets canceled and then it will close May 13th in Bowling Green, KY.
I have tickets for all those shows now so either way I'm seeing the end of the Tour. It will then probably go to Singapore, later on this year, 2012, and then be on "hiatus," for a few years. Don't know if it will make a return then or not, or if they revive it on Broadway, which I can only dream they'd do.
It's not Forever, since CATS will always be: "NOW AND FOREVER!"

Re: Everyone knows now: CATS Troika Tour to Close For Bowling Green there are 15 seats left for the 3pm show, and lots of seats left on the sides and back Upper Orchestra for the last Finale show at 7:30pm. Bowling Green is about 45 minutes outside of Nashville, TN. If anyone wants to pair up and meet at Nashville, I'm driving up to BG and staying at a hotel near the theatre.

Re: Everyone knows now: CATS Troika Tour to Close Its a bit surprising that they dont choice a major city like Nashville, as a last show, and also that they havent really announced it yet. I can imagine a lot off people would like to go and see the final show off a really long running tour like this.

Re: Everyone knows now: CATS Troika Tour to Close I've never had much respect for Troika, but this still pulls at the ol' heartstrings. I'd love to be there... just like I'd love to be at ANY show, but the cost would kill me. Promise us you'll have a blast.

The fact that it was the last season makes them more willing to try new things and, or try how different things would work for the broadway revival.

But that probably won't happen. Seems like they made that decision quickly. It couldn't have to do with ticket sales......right? It almost sold out in OC! Any further details? Edit: Just had a thought. Maybe they ARE going to revive it on Broadway, and therefore an equity tour will replace it.

Re: Everyone knows now: CATS Troika Tour to Close I am still attempting to discover if the Tour closes at Bowling Green KY or in Grand Rapids MI. According to the Venue and at least three Ticket Sellers, the Grand Rapids stop is the last of this tour.
I have not heard of the Tour going on next year...
