Does any one know anymore of the cast besides Kim, Conrad, Albert, Rosie, Mr. MacAfee and Mae?

Dee Hoty, Nolan Gerard Funk, Allie Trimm and Matt Doyle

Rising Hollywood star Nolan Gerard Funk, of the Nickelodeon TV movie "Spectacular!," will be the hip-swiveling Conrad Birdie in Roundabout Theatre Company's new fall production of the Tony Award-winning musical Bye Bye Birdie.

Joining the already-announced John Stamos ("ER," Nine), Gina Gershon (Boeing-Boeing), Tony winner Bill Irwin (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, the current Roundabout Waiting for Godot) and Tony nominee Jayne Houdyshell (Well, Wicked) in the principal cast for the revival production — to play Henry Miller's Theatre, Roundabout's new Broadway home — will be Allie Trimm (13) as bobby-soxer Kim MacAfee, Tony nominee Dee Hoty (The Will Rogers Follies) as Mrs. MacAfee, Matt Doyle (Spring Awakening) as teen Hugo Peabody, Molly Ephraim (Fiddler on the Roof) as teen Ursula Merkle and Jake Evan Schwencke as little brother Randolph MacAfee.

it is true!
but its so weird. doyle and trimm are way apart in age.
I love Matt Doyle's voice though!

But seriously what a surprise... they cast all known names.
the open call for that show had over 8 hours worth of auditioners.
and not one unknown???
dumb.

There's always the chorus and the understudies they needed to cast. Anyway, I love Allie Trimm. She's a cutie and will be an awesome Kim. The rest of the cast looks really good but what's up with the kid from "Spectacular!"?

Allie Trimm is very talented, but I don't think she is a soprano enough for Kim and she will look extremely young compared to Matt Doyle.

And Nolan Gerard Funk? Seriously? :? He is about as right for Conrad Birdie as I am.

I think Allie Trimm will do great. She seems like she will make the perfect Kim. (And lets remember that 13 isn't the best show to judge her soprano range on...)

Anywho, I caught a glimpse of Spectacular! the other day and it seems that we're getting a Jonas Brother replica as Conrad. Should be interesting.

Well, that's ironic...right before reading about this revival cast, I had watched her rendition of "Could I Leave You?" on YouTube.

Lol. Well, we'll just have to see what happens! Maybe she's trying to break out of her "type."

She's playing Mrs MacAfee, not Mae Peterson.

The full cast, including the ensemble, is now up at Playbill:

The complete cast (announced June 19) will include Deanna Cipolla, Paula Leggett Chase, Riley Costello, John Treacy Egan, Colleen Fitzpatrick, Todd Gearhart, Patty Goble, Suzanne Grodner, Robert Hager, Nina Hennessey, Natalie Hill, Julia Knitel, Jess Le Protto, David McDonald, Jillian Mueller, Paul Pilcz, Daniel Quadrino, Devin Richards, Emma Rowley, Tim Shew, Kevin Shotwell, Allison Strong, Jim Walton, Brynn Williams and Branch Woodman.

I love Bye Bye Birdie, and I just have to say that I am THRILLED to see Bill Irwin do Mr. McAfee. I think he will bring so much to the role, and rival Paul Lynde's classic turn.

I was fortunate to see him onstage on Broadway in Fool Moon, and he has so much charisma, he doesn't even need to speak.
