I hated the movie. I think I'll hate the musical.

Well, the movie has a soundtrack full of songs, just they're not all character-sung. Probably slightly re-written and included as the rest of the score.

Funny, people said a lot of the same things about B&B and the Lion King. This was one of the last great Disney films of the the new generation so it should make a cool show. I'm giving it a chance, definitely.

I'm seeing it on April 1st. I think it deserves a chance.
After all, this is Disney that we're talking about.
And at least if the show sucks, I'm sure they won't skimp on special effects.

See, I think B&B is so-so, and I'm really not big on the Lion King at all. (I'm talking about the stage versions, of course. The Disney movies r0x0rz.)

Well then again you're talking to someone who's seen B&B 48 times and 49 on Sunday (birthday tradition). Call me crazy, I don't care; some people spend as much money as me at clubs and bars. I go to see B&B. If Tarzan lives up to this, I'm going to love it.

I do hope Tarzan is great! I love B&B (not the current cast though) and I'm going to see Lion King soon... I haven't seen it yet but I bet it's great. I love Tarzan the movie though and I hope they have a lot of new and great songs.

 Just saw it on Friday...
I say the preview of it on friday (won the $20 tickets) and was blown away. Tim Jerome was awesome in this but even better was Josh Strickland. Wow, his vocal performance was on the whole night and he really got into the role of a man playing a gorilla. (Didn't look half bad either .) I talked to the conductor during intermission (he turned around and asked what we thought) and he was telling us of all of the cuts they have made and are still making to make the show even better. I really would go see this if you can, the set is different, but in a good way and the opening underwater scene can only be experienced! The only thing I didn't like was that you could see all of the latches and hooks for when people flew around, and over half the cast was in the air for half the show! Phil Collins did use the two title songs from the movie version, and the rest of the songs were great. The soundtrack is set to be released sometime in June...you can pre-order it there or on the website.
